Voucher proposal and real-world benchmark
HKG pilot proposal: 1h → HK$20 · 2h → HK$40 · 3h → HK$300. Only the highest tier applies. Our 1-hour and 2-hour tiers are project proposals. All amounts require airport, airline or sponsor funding and are not official HKIA compensation rates.
Changi benchmark: 3 hours → S$50. FlightSaver Assurance provides ten S$5 e-vouchers to eligible registered travellers after a verified qualifying delay. Registration is required at least 12 hours before departure; the programme has additional conditions, a monthly limit and a 30-day voucher validity.
This is a service benefit, not universal statutory cash compensation. Eligibility and assistance depend on the carrier, journey and applicable rules.

Data sources and estimation
This is an interactive prototype. The base map and facility locations come from the official HKIA map. Times are simulated and cannot guide an actual journey.
Flight stages: A live service would need event records from airlines and ground handlers. Similar past flights may inform estimates. Cleaning, refuelling and loading can overlap, so their durations cannot simply be added.
Dining queues: Estimates need merchant queue data, ticketing systems or staff updates. Queue, preparation and dining times must be considered separately.
Restroom queues: Estimates need queue length, open stalls and turnover data. Occupancy alone cannot reliably predict waiting minutes.
References: Historical airport flight data, Official dining directory . The historical flight feed does not provide the live stages or queues this prototype would require.
